TRUETAPE: how to tape your finger

What you need

1 TRUETAPE strip
1 pair of scissors

Wearing time

3-4 days

Taping tips

Apply tape 1 hour before starting an activity

Thoroughly remove dirt, moisture, oils and lotions from the skin before taping

Do not wear the tape for longer than 7 days

To activate the adhesive, carefully rub the tape several times after applying

In areas that are particularly hairy, trim the hair to ensure the tape sticks better

Remove paper backing before application and always make sure the ends of the tape are applied WITHOUT stretch

Application finger - Starting position
STARTING POSITION

Try to extend and spread the concerned finger during the whole application.

1. STRIP

Application finger - Step 1
0% STRETCH

Cut one full strip in half. Then cut the half strip in the middle, just until below the logo print and round the corners. Additionally cut a slight curve where marked on picture.

Application finger - Step 2
0% STRETCH

Tear off the paper backing just above both loose ends.

Application finger - Step 3
0% STRETCH

Apply the tape without stretch centrally to the back of the hand just above the concerned finger.

75% STRETCH

Fold back the paper backing of the first end, apply with 75% stretch...

Application finger - Step 5
75% STRETCH

...around the outside of the finger in a spiral shape...

Application finger - Step 6
75% STRETCH

...and onwards to the inside of the finger.

0% STRETCH

Finish the end without stretch at the backside of the finger again.

Apply the second end exactly the other way around. Fold back the paper backing and apply with 75% stretch around the inside of the finger...

75% STRETCH

...and further around the outside of the finger.

Finish the end without stretch approximately at the first strip.

2. STRIP

Application finger - Step 11
0% STRETCH

Apply the second prepared strip to the inside of your palm without stretch and just above the concerned finger again.

Application finger - Step 12
75% STRETCH

Fold back the paper backing and apply in a spiral shape with 75% stretch around the inside of your finger...

Application finger - Step 13
75% STRETCH

...and onwards around the back- and outside of the finger (do not cover the finger joint).

Application finger - Step 14
0% STRETCH

Tape towards the finger tip and apply without stretch.

Application finger - Step 15
75% STRETCH

Again, fold back the paper backing and apply with 75% stretch exactly the opposite way, around the outside of finger...

Application finger- Step 16
75% STRETCH

...and in a spiral shape from above around the back- and inside of the finger.

Application finger - Step 17
0% STRETCH

Apply the end of the tape without stretch towards the finger tip.

Application finger - Step 18
0% STRETCH

Make sure to give the whole application another good rub to activate the adhesive.

DONE!
